Maharashtra FYJC CET 2021 Cancelled
Earlier, the Government of Maharashtra Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune had invited applications for CET for 11th Std. 2021. After their Class 10 results, more than 12 lacs students had completed their online registration for 11th admission. Even the exam dates and centers were finalized but now First Year Junior College (FYJC) admission test will not be conducted after the Mumbai High Court intervened in it. “If the CET is allowed to be held, then a large number of students would be exposed and would face a threat to life. This would have a cascading effect,” the bench said in its order.

11th Admission Test 2021 Scrapped by Bombay High Court
The latest update coming from several news reports says that MSBSHSE will not conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) for 11th admissions to First Year Junior College (FYJC), rules Bombay HC on Tuesday. As per a report by Times of India, “the court noted that it is a case of gross injustice and amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it would be a threat to the lives of students.” FYJC 11th Admission Test was scheduled to be held on 21st August 2021. Now, the whole admission process will be done based on internal assessments and SSC marks only.
Maharashtra Class XI FYJC admission test was set to be conducted at various examination centers in different phases. With the help of the examination, students could get admission to one of the top colleges comes under Maharashtra State Board Authority. However, Bombay HC has directed the state government to Scrap the Maharashtra FYJC CET Examination 2021. Also, SSC board syllabus was quashed by a bench of Maha State Govt GR Justice amesh Dhanuka and Justice Riaz Chagla.
