This time a large number of candidates were going to participate in the UPTET 2022 exam. Approximately, 13.52 lakh candidates have registered for TET primary level exam whereas, 8.93 lakh candidates for TET upper primary level exam. The exam is going to be held for two types of teachers. Upper Primary Teachers (UP) and  Lower Primary Teachers (LP). Candidates who will qualify for the Upper Primary and Lower primary exams are eligible for teacher posts in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The primary teachers will teach students from Class I to V, the trained graduate teachers will teach students from class VI to VII. Earlier, the marks scored by a candidate through UPTET Exam were valid for a period of 5 years from the date of issue. On qualifying the paper, the successful candidates will get a certificate that will be valid for lifetime, which means that they can then apply for any vacancies released by the Uttar Pradesh government.

Dr Satish Dwivedi, Basic Education Minister on 28th November 2021 informed that the government will try to conduct the exam within December 2021. If not possible in December then the dates may shift to January 2022. However, there are many candidates who are willing to become a teacher and have filled both exams UPTET and CTET. CTET is also scheduled for December 2021. As per the official news, the next date for UPTET 2022 exam will be made available shortly on the official portal. The admit card for the exam will be released a week before the exam date like earlier. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath by a tweet announced that “Candidates appearing for the examination will be given free travel facility in @UPSRTCHQ buses for commuting.” Hence, no fee will be charged for UPTET 2022-2023 (re-conduct exam).
