The UGC NET exam is conducted to find out the eligible candidates who can apply for Assistant Professors/Lecturers and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) posts in various government universities and colleges of India. University Grants Commission (UGC)-NET works under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. National Testing Agency (NTA) is the one who is responsible for conducting UGC NET. Due to COVID, the exam for December 2020- June 2021 was delayed but finally concluded on 5th January 2022. Now, candidates will be declared eligible or not eligible on the basis of their aggregate performance in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. As mentioned above, UGC NET Paper 1, 2 exams are held to determine the eligibility for JRF and Assistant Professorship professionals. UGC NET Cut off 2022

The cut-off for UGC NET will depend on number of candidates who appeared in the exam, the Difficulty level of the UGC NET question paper, and the Previous year UGC NET cut off trends.The candidate will get UGC NET certificate only if the qualifying criteria are achieved. Therefore, to get shortlisted for E-certificate, you must meet the cut-off requirements. The NTA will prepare the cut-off marks category-wise based on combined Paper 1 and Paper 2 scores. For general, the minimum qualifying marks shall be 40% of total marks whereas SC/ST/PwD/EWS/others shall secure 35% in order to qualify the UGC NET exam. You should check the previous year/last year cut-off trends to get an idea of selection to JRF & Lectureship posts.
