PSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2021 Selection Process

The candidates should apply for the Clerk position via online mode. Usually, the selection process consists of a written test and typing test. The candidates who have outperformed the tests will be recruited for the clerk posts. Also, the application fee for the General candidates is 1000 INR. At the same time, the application fee for SC/BC/EWS, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen & Dependent are 250, 500, and 200, respectively.

The eligibility criteria for the Clerk, IT Clerk, and Clerk Accounts are as follows. 

  • Clerk 

The eligibility criteria to appear for the clerk examination are graduation certifications and experience in using PC or IT in Office Productivity Applications or Desktop Publishing Applications. Also, the candidates are required to complete the 120 hours course in the above-mentioned applications from the reputed institutions. In addition, the candidates with the Computer Information Technology course similar to ‘O’ Level certificate of DOEACC(aka Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course) of Government of India are eligible to grab the clerk posts. 

  • IT Clerk 

The eligibility requirements of an IT Clerk are as follows. 

The candidates should possess certification from any of these courses from the recognized Indian institutions: B.Tech in CSc, B.Sc., Information Technology, Bachelor of Computer Application, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application, or equivalent or higher qualification in similar disciplines. Also, the candidate should pass the Punjabi and English typing test with a speed of 30 wpm before the recruitment process.  

  • Clerk Accounts

The eligibility criteria for the Clerk Accounts are as follows:

The candidate should have B.Com and 120 hours course certification with experience in using PC or IT in Office Productivity Applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from the reputed ISO 9001 certified college. In addition, the candidates with the Computer Information Technology course similar to ‘O’ Level certificate of DOEACC(aka Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course) of Government of India are eligible to grab the clerk posts.
