GATE Registration 2022
IIT Kharagpur will conduct the GATE exam in February 2021. A candidate who is currently studying in the final year of graduation or 3rd year in an undergraduate degree is eligible to register for the GATE exam 2022. Along with this, those who have already completed a graduate degree program in Technology/Architecture/Engineering OR Arts, Commerce, Science from a recognized college/institution/university can apply for the GATE exam 2020. Candidates who will be able to register successfully for the 2022 GATE exam will be able to download their Hall Ticket/Call Letter/Admit card from 3rd January to 17th January 2022.

Prof. Virender Kumar Tewari, Director IIT Kharagpur recently informed by tweet that IIT Bombay handed over the responsibility of organizing GATE 2022 to IIT Kharagpur after conducting GATE 2021 successfully in Covid-19 Pandemic. However, Dept. has officially announced that the exam dates can be postponed due to the coronavirus. Students who are going to apply for the GATE 2022 application form to be concerned that two new papers are added by the department this year which are: (i) Geomatics Engineering (GE), (ii) Marine Engineering (NM). The IIT Kharagpur has published the exam dates for the GATE exam which will be conducted on 5, 6, 12, and 13 February 2022.

A candidate who is going to appear on one or two papers should fill only one form. In case of multiple registrations, one will be considered as a valid application other will be rejected. If we talk about the previous year, the registration date was closed on 30th Sept. 2020 which was later extended till 7th Oct. 2020. This registration process was delayed due to delays in the result of universities and colleges. Finally, the GATE 2022 Application forms are going to start from 30th August 2021 and end on 24th September 2021. Once the registration opens students can apply to take admission in further studies.
