Verifying the Details on Your Admit Card

Once you download the PDF, don’t just glance at the venue. Carefully check every field for potential errors. This includes your name spelling, date of birth, gender, category (SC/ST/OBC/Gen), and the language options you selected for Paper I and Paper II. If there is a discrepancy between your admit card and your original ID proof, the invigilators may flag it. If you spot a mistake, contact the CTET Unit at 011-22240112 or email them immediately to get it rectified before the exam day.

What to Carry to the Center

On the day of the exam, ensure you have the following ready:

  • Printed Admit Card: The final hall ticket (not the city intimation slip).
  • Valid Photo ID: Original Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport.
  • Stationery: A high-quality blue or black ballpoint pen (for OMR marking).
  • Photographs: Two passport-sized photos (same as uploaded in the application) as a backup.

Prohibited Items and Dress Code

To avoid any last-minute stress during frisking, leave all electronic gadgets at home. This includes smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and even digital pens. Jewelry like nose pins, bangles, or heavy metallic ornaments can sometimes trigger the metal detectors and slow down your entry. Stick to simple clothing and avoid carrying large bags, as many centers do not provide a secure storage facility. A transparent water bottle (500ml) is usually permitted, which is helpful for staying focused during the 150-minute marathon.

Key Reminders

  • Reporting Time: Reach the center at least 60 to 90 minutes early. Entry gates usually close 30 minutes before the exam starts (9:00 AM for the morning shift and 2:00 PM for the afternoon shift).
  • City Intimation vs. Admit Card: If you haven’t checked your exam city yet, you can do so now on the official portal. Note that the city slip is only for travel planning and cannot be used for entry.
  • Offline Mode: The exam remains offline (pen-and-paper) using OMR sheets.
