AP Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana garu in the presence of J Syamala Rao, Principal Secretary, Higher Education and Prof K. Hemachandra Reddy, Chairman APSCHE on June 14 @ 10.30AM at Vijayawada. A total of 2,38,180 students appeared for the APEAMCET exam 2023, out of which 1,71,514 students pass the examination. The overall pass percentage for Engineering stream is 76.32% and for the Agriculture and Pharmacy streams is 89.65%. Girls outperformed boy as 3.99% more girls qualified the examination.

Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted every year for admission in a number of UG professional courses in Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical (Pharmacy, Veterinary etc.) streams. Various colleges/ institutions/ universities of Andhra Pradesh participate in this entrance exam. After clearing this exam, students will have to appear for the counselling process. The Andhra Pradesh State Council Of Higher Education (APSCHE) uses a ranking method for AP EAMCET results. Students are ranked based on the marks obtained by them. Here is how the ranking system works for AP EAMCET Rank Card:

APSCHE uses a tie-breaking formula when two or more candidates score equal marks. The board follows a procedure to allot ranks to the candidates. Here is how the rank is decided in such cases:

1. Priority will be given by normalizing the total marks obtained by the students. 
2. Then, the board checks the marks secured in Mathematics/ Biology. 
3. After that, normalized marks secured in Physics will be checked. 
4. In case, the tie is not broken yet, the authorities used the date of birth method. Here the older candidate is preferred over the younger candidate.
