ASIA PACIFIC EDUCATIONANDTRAINING INSTITUTES IN TOURISM (APETIT)
The Asia Pacific Education and training Institutes In Tourism (APETIT) is the leading international organization in the field of Tourism, Travel and Hospitality. The United Nations Economic and Social Commission promoted the network of APETIT in Sep. 1997. The purpose of the Network is to strengthen the institutional capabilities of various countries’ tourism education and research institutes, to encourage cooperation among them and to overcome the quantitative and qualitative shortages of human resources in the tourism industry. There are 139 members in APETIT from 39 countries in Asia pacific region.
To facilitate students’ exchanges among the member institutions, a new initiative “UNESCAP APETIT Marco Polo Programme” was promoted by IFT in the 11th Executive Committee Meeting.

- Sharing Experiences
- Research and Development
IITTM is the founder member of APETIT and entrusted with the responsibility of publications and information exchange. IITTM is co-ordinating among APETIT members in India.
