Director's Profile
 Dr. Sitikantha Mishra , Director, Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior is the first academician to occupy this position, as previously senior IAS officers were holding this post. Dr. Mishra is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and brings with him academic and administrative experience of about three decades. He has contributed significantly to the tourism policy formulation and implementation both at State and Central level. He has edited two books on tourism and published extensively on various aspects of management including tourism planning, business policy, financial management and also business ethics. Prior to joining IITTM-Gwalior, he was Professor and Administrator of IITTM, Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Mishra is an active researcher and is a member of many professional journals on tourism and management. He is associated with a number of academic, cultural and literary organizations and has participated in many national and international seminars and workshops.
